Revolving Door Maintenance

Maintenance/service of revolving doors are normally performed annually. However, manufacturers recommend semi-annual servicing because of the inclement weather we have in the Northeast.

The following is a maintenance/service checklist, which has been compiled by revolving door manufacturers and performed by our trained personnel.

• Check speed control box oil level - add oil if needed and adjust
• Check RPM's on revolver (10-12 RPM optimum)
• Grease pivot bearings and inspect for unusual wear
• Inspect top and bottom hangers
• Remove door wings from hangers and grease hanger bearings
• Grease all exposed fittings
• Check door locks to see that they are functioning properly
• Lubricate lock cylinders with liquid graphite

• Inspect all weathersweeps for overwear-excessive air infiltration
