Sharon Tankel
President
Sharon got her start working in the glass business while in high school and college. She joined the company full-time in 1986 after graduating from UMass Amherst. Sharon enjoys all aspects of the glass business. Her responsibilities have included working in the office, customer service, bidding, on-the-road sales, and bookkeeping.
She’s the past president of the Massachusetts Glass Dealers Association and was chairperson for the MGDA scholarship committee.
Sharon met her husband, Richard, in 1985 in New York City while both were attending a glass convention. Richard was working at his family’s glass business, Lo-Can Glass International, at the time.
Sharon enjoys sports, including tennis and swimming, and spending time with family.
Randy Ibbitson
General Manager
Before Randy became a glazier, he worked in construction and as a carpenter until he joined the glaziers’ union in 1995. In 2000, Randy joined our team as a glazier and then as an estimator. Later, he was promoted to serve as general manager.
Randy’s attention to detail keeps our service operations running smoothly.
He enjoys golf and spending time with his family.
Edward Pickup
Estimator
Edward Pickup cut his first piece of glass at just 9 years of age when his father ordered him to fix the neighbors’ window that he had smashed while playing baseball. Since then, Ed has used his talents to glaze many buildings in the Boston area and beyond.
Born and raised in South Boston, MA, Ed attended Catholic school from grades 1 to 5. The nuns at his grade school informed Ed’s mother that he would benefit from a trade school when he reached high school. Ed continued on to trade school, graduating from South Boston High School.
Before Ed’s debut with us, he worked for several other glass companies where he was able to gain expertise and versatile trade skills. Ed worked at Alliance Glass, Modern Glass, Ipswich Bay Glass, Sampson Enterprises, A & A Window, and Furgeson Neudorf.
Ed continues to carry out his family’s legacy of working in the glass industry. His own father and 2 of his 5 children are also glaziers.
He joined our team in 2011. In 2015, he took on the role of project manager/estimator. Ed is revered as a senior glazier and a great teacher to many of the younger journeymen and apprentices.
He enjoys spending time with family, fishing, boating, and snowmobiling.
Shana Anderson
Estimator
We are thrilled to announce our newest addition to the Hub Glass Estimating family. Shana Anderson has been a journeywoman glazier for the past 15 years. She spent 9 years working in the field in Boston and 7 years in Connecticut. She is looking forward to serving your glass and estimating needs.
We are excited to bring her industry knowledge and outgoing personality to our team!
Dinorah Martinez
Customer Service
When you call our office, you will most likely have the pleasure of speaking with Dinorah Martinez. Dinorah handles all our phone lines as well as manages the front office, does the billing, and is our customer service extraordinaire.
Dinorah grew up in East Boston, MA, and graduated from East Boston High School in 1998. She joined our company in 2009.
